Q: Can I have a book published about my family and include cards and photos etc?
A: Yes the Family Memories book enables special cards, photograghs, shared memories, personal poems, immediate family tree and much more. Family members can contribute and have copies of the cherished photograghs and documents, making this also a unique gift of information to pass on to future generations.

Q: How do the Family Memories books differ from the In Loving Memory books ?
A: The titles on the book covers and the free first page heading reflect the type of book.
You can select any pages you wish from the BAND A & BAND B pages and the website example shows the relevance of these. For instance if you choose a Family Memories book and wish to list your relatives and friends all you need to do is omit the Pall Bearers section.

Q: Is yours a memorial book, remembrance book, memoriam book or condolence book ?
A: Our book encompasses all of these as: - typically a memorial is deemed to be a headstone, statue, plaque etc; our book is also a physical memorial, and one which can be easily accessible (see tribute example – Service Details page).
- normally a remembrance book allows for family and friends to write about precious moments, again our book provides this (see tribute example – Shared Memory and Personal Poem pages).
- an in memoriam usually represents a eulogy including the life-span dates (see tribute example – In Memoriam, Tribute, Eulogy and Life & Times pages).
- a condolence book offers the opportunity for the bereaved to receive messages of condolence (see tribute example – Condolence page, Sympathy Cards and Floral Tributes). In addition our memorial book allows for a recent family tree (see tribute example – Family Record), a list of those who paid their respects at the service and the names of the pall bearers, and photographs with titles (see tribute example – Photographs, Remembrance Photograph and Tribute pages).

Q: May I choose an assortment of leather and cloth covers for the In Tribute Books on order ?
A: Yes, simply tick on the order form the material required for each book being ordered (see book order).

Q: May I choose a different coloured book cover other than the standard Burgundy ?
A: Base colour options (Black-Blue-Burgundy-Green) (not specific shades) if in stock can be made available at no extra charge, simply tick the required colour on the order form for each book being ordered (see book order).

Q: Do you send samples of the different coloured covers ?
A: Materials purchased in batches may vary in shade, and for this reason and to keep customer costs to a minimum we do not provide samples.

Q: Can I have a joint tribute book for my Mum & Dad ?
A: Yes, you would need to print two copies of the order form and note that they are to be combined for a joint tribute book (see book order).

Q: Can I have a joint tribute book for relatives other than parents ?
A: Yes. Whether parents or not, each would have a personal Tribute page and Funeral Service page, but dependant upon their relationship you may require an additional Family Record page (Typed charge), as well other additional pages. (see tribute prices and book order)

Q: How can I obtain all of the floral tribute cards for inclusion in my tribute book ?
A: To eliminate the need for you to do this yourself at a very distressing time, simply as the funeral director to collect the floral cards after the service.

Q: When I arrange a funeral, can I ask funeral directors to include your personalised tribute book in the funeral plans ?
A: Yes your funeral director can organise with True Star and liaise with you.

Q: Can I have a tribute book for my pet ?
A: Certainly, a pet is just as much a family member, and the tribute book would be an appropriate pet tribute to include not only information and photographs etc but also all the important, loving and humorous moments shared with them. The dedicated book would then be available to you and your family to browse at leisure.

Q: What type of photographs can I include ?
A: Photographs depicting the loved one, either alone or with family & friends are appropriate, also some people include photographs of headstones / gravestones and floral tributes. All high quality photographs which conform to good taste are acceptable.

Q: Apart from photographs and florist cards, what other items may I supply for the tribute book ?
A: In addition to the information on the order form, and photographs and floral cards you may also include sympathy cards ( condolence cards ), a copy of the obituary notice, the tribute card from the funeral, the order of service (readings, sermons and hymns etc), and any faith or cultural related papers and other relevant documents, plus the completed page template forms (see book order - Family Record, Eulogy - Life & Times - Shared Memories - Personal Poems - Condolence pages and a list of Relatives & Friends who attended the service as well as the names of the Pall Bearers).

Q: Are the front cover of condolence cards included in the tribute book ?
A: No, only the condolence page which includes the sympathy message and tribute is included.

Q: Do you produce other book sizes ?
A: In the past we produced an A5+ size book but this was not as popular, as more information could be published in the A4 version.

Q: How long do you hold my personal and book details once my initial order has been completed ?
A: Unless you have signed requesting that all personal and book details are retained for one year (on the Proof Declaration form) the information is deleted from our systems once the book has been published and the order completed. The request to retain the information enables further orders to be charged at a discounted price (based on current price at time of the further order).

Q: Will you disclose my personal details to third party companies ?
A: No, we adhere to a strict privacy policy, only book details are available for the purpose of production.

Q: I spent a long time seeing a bereavement counsellor following the passing of my loved one, and would now like to create a book in remembrance of them. I still have the floral cards, service card and sympathy cards, but not a copy of the eulogy, is it too late to organise this ?
A: We honestly believe that the True Star Tribute Book helps the bereaved in their grief healing process. However, we understand that sometimes it is easier to write tributes, personal poems and shared memories etc after the grief has lessened. Although you may not have a copy of the eulogy written at the time it is never too late to praise your loved one, and a Eulogy template page is provided when you download the forms. You may also consider writing about your loved one's Life & Times (also a template page download) in remembrance of the early & latter day events, there talents, hopes, humorous and nostalgic moments, milestones and achievements etc.
